Council at its Culture and Economic Development Committee meeting on 11 May 2020 adopted the 2020-2025 draft Cultural Development Plan for the purpose of public exhibition.

We are inviting the community to have their say on the draft Cultural Plan 2020-2025 now on exhibition.

As a five-year framework, “SPARC”, the Dubbo Regional Council Cultural Plan will position the region’s arts and culture as a key asset for the community and support the growth of our economic development and destination ambitions, meeting the challenges of the present and the future.

The Cultural Plan is based on six key values for cultural growth and recognition. These values, Discovery, Growth, Immersion, Distinction, Accessibility and Communal, have come together to represent not just the cultural values we hold now, but the experiences we want to grow and what we want our region to be known for.

Our region will be a lively and welcoming place to participate in arts and culture, and an established centre for the emerging and professional creative sector.
